Skymood employs different production processes for different optialc frames. Metal optical frames utilize five-axis CNC machining and PVD vacuum coating.
PC optical frames are made of TR90 material and undergo CNC secondary finishing after injection molding to ensure the curvature radius of the temple-head contact surface matches your facial shape.
How do I custom the hinges for optical frames?
The hinges are tested for fatigue life using Finite Element Analysis (FEA), with a standard opening and closing test of ≥15,000 cycles.
How to custom optical frames lenses?
Skymood carefully selects optical lenses, matching different types to different prescriptions. When choosing lens materials, we consider the balance between refractive index and dispersion coefficient. For high-powder lenses, we prioritize MR-174 material, using free-form CNC machining to customize the length of the progressive multifocal channel. For low-powder lenses, we use CR-39 to optimize cost and optical performance.
The coating system utilizes a multi-layer nanostructure, and the functional layers provide protection against blue light, oil stains, scratches, and reflections.
